Deleting your Vobz account

In the event of any conflict between the Thai and English versions, the Thai version shall prevail.

You can delete your Vobz account and the related data at any time, through 2 channels as follows

Method 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)

1. Open the Vobz app and go to Settings (การตั้งค่า)
2. Choose Delete Account
3. Confirm the deletion — the account immediately enters a pending-deletion state: it is hidden from other users (it no longer appears in search results, lists or chats) and is signed out on every device

30-day recovery period

To prevent accidental deletion, the account can still be recovered within 30 days of the date you request deletion:

• During this time, if you sign in again, the app will show a Restore (กู้คืนบัญชี) option together with the last date it can be restored — tap restore and the account will be usable as normal again
• After 30 days, the data is permanently deleted and can no longer be recovered

Method 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, send a request to support@vobz.app, stating the phone number you registered with so that we can confirm you own the account. We will act within the timeframe required by law.

Data that will be permanently deleted (after the recovery period)

• Profile data (display name, profile photo, bio, and the information you entered)
• All photos and media in your albums (deleted from the actual storage)
• Chat messages you sent, together with attached media
• Location data, device identifiers and notification tokens
• Your phone number and email are removed from the account, and can be used to sign up again

Data that may be retained

• An account record that is free of identifying information (with the phone number, email, photos and personal information all removed) for the integrity of internal systems
• Data that the law requires us to keep (such as records relating to transactions)
• Reports of content/users, and content moderation records, to the extent necessary for safety and compliance with the law

Requesting deletion of some data (without deleting the whole account) — Vobz

Besides deleting the whole account, Vobz also lets you delete certain types of data yourself right away in the app, without affecting your account or your other data

Steps in the app

• Chat messages — press and hold a message you sent, then choose Delete
• An entire conversation — open the chat list, swipe or press and hold the conversation, then choose Delete
• Photos in albums — open an album (Public or Private), tap the photo you want, then choose Delete
• Profile data — go to Edit Profile (แก้ไขโปรไฟล์) and clear or edit your bio, interests or profile photo, then tap save

If you cannot access the app

Send a request to support@vobz.app, stating the phone number you registered with and the data you want deleted

Data deleted and timing

• Messages/conversations: deleted from the system immediately (attached media is also deleted from the actual storage), with no recovery period — the other party will no longer see those messages either
• Photos in albums: deleted immediately from the actual storage, with no recovery period
• Profile data that is edited/cleared: the old value is overwritten immediately and no previous value is kept

Data that may be retained

• Reports of content/users, and content moderation records, related to that message/photo, to the extent necessary for safety and compliance with the law
